Responsibilities

  • Oversee ongoing compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, policies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Identify workplace hazards and provide recommendations for their elimination or mitigation.
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses on OHS performance, including actionable improvement plans.
  • Contribute to modernization and organizational changes by advising on OHS-related aspects.
  • Participate in post-incident investigations to determine causes of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive safety measures.
  • Provide expert guidance on OHS regulations and their practical application.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal OHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Review and issue opinions on workplace-specific safety instructions.
  • Take part in occupational risk assessments and ensure identified risks are properly managed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to organize and deliver OHS training, including onboarding of new employees.
  • Work closely with occupational health physicians and external laboratories conducting workplace testing and measurements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar OHS role.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification in OHS (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent) is an asset.
