Business Analyst - Detillens

We're looking for a sharp, inquisitive Business Analyst to join an exciting financial services organisation in Glasgow. If you thrive at the intersection of data, technology, and business change-and you enjoy working closely with finance teams to modernise processes-this role will feel like home. You'll play a key part in shaping and delivering a range of initiatives, from data-driven transformation to system migrations and process modernisation. This is a hands-on role where your insight will directly influence how we operate and how our finance stakeholders make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance teams to understand business needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation for change and transformation projects.
• Support data initiatives, including reporting enhancements, data quality improvements, and analytics workstreams.
• Work with Power BI dashboards and reporting to help stakeholders turn data into actionable insight.
• Contribute to system migration and modernisation programmes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and SMEs to ensure solutions are delivered on time and aligned with business goals.
• Champion continuous improvement and help embed best practice across the organisation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong background working with finance teams-you understand their processes, pressures, and priorities.
• Solid experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation (Power BI experience is a strong advantage).
• A track record of supporting change, transformation, or migration projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into business language.
