Resident Engineer (Civil & Structural)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Resident Engineer in supervising and coordinating daily construction activities to ensure project progress and quality.
• Inspect and supervise contractors' works and tests against approved drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Enforce adherence to specifications, national regulations, local authorities' requirements, Singapore standards, and industry best practices.
• Attend site meetings to identify and resolve technical issues collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders.
• Review contractors' submissions, provide detailed comments, and ensure timely closure of all outstanding issues.
• Oversee inspection and special testing processes, coordinating efforts across all contracts to maintain quality control.
• Ensure all inspection documentation complies fully with local authorities' requirements to support regulatory approvals.
• Required competencies and certifications
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration as Resident Engineer with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure or waste/water management construction projects.
• Experience with foundation piles, earth retaining or stabilizing structures, instrumentation and monitoring, ground improvement, and soil investigation works.
• Other Information
• 5.5 working days per week.
• 1-year renewable contract.
• Position available for immediate commencement.
• 2 months gratuity upon completion of 2 years.
• Work location: Tuas.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm; Saturday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (alternate Saturdays).
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
