About the role
Report directly to the President and play a key role in providing strategic financial planning, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and driving initiatives to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations, including accounts payable & receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets in alignment with the institution's strategic goals.

- Manage cash flow and optimise financial operations to support the institution's growth.
- Review monthly payroll and perform bank submissions for staff and adjunct lecturers.
- Oversee and manage all tax-related matters, including GST reporting and filing, corporate tax compliance, and liaison with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely submission of all statutory filings and regulatory requirements, including annual returns, surveys, and other compliance obligations with relevant government agencies.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and recommendations.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, and implement necessary updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA(Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
- 3-5 years of progressive financial management experience, within an international private education setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong business acumen, financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Proficiency in Xero/Quickbook online would be an advantage.
