Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial services including deep expertise in credit cards, partnerships, loyalty, or acquisition strategy
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business growth and influencing enterprise outcomes
  • Deep understanding of customer behavior, lifecycle value, and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated success negotiating large-scale, high-value partnerships
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L drivers, investment decisions, and complex commercial models
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and develop a high-performing team, accountable for talent strategy, succession, and engagement
  • Data-driven mindset with strong customer and market insight capability

Job Description: Department Overview The Canadian Card Payments, Loyalty & Personal Lending (CCPL&PL) business is responsible for strategy, product development, customer lifecycle management and the financial performance of all Canadian credit card and personal lending products. CCPL&PL is the second-largest dual issuer of Visa and MasterCard products in Canada. TD Consumer and Business credit cards are distributed nationally, leveraging our retail distribution network, direct channels and key co-brand partnerships including Aeroplan and Amazon. Vice President Partnerships & Business Development: This role is accountable for partner-led customer growth, portfolio economics, and ecosystem expansion, overseeing both large, established partnerships and new business development opportunities in a complex, matrixed environment. Accountabilities: Lead the end-to-end partnerships and loyalty strategy aligned to Credit Cards and CPB objectives Own and optimize a portfolio of existing strategic partnerships, including performance management, renewals, and commercial outcomes Drive new partnership and business development opportunities across the portfolio Oversee the full partner lifecycle, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and governance Deliver customer acquisition and engagement outcomes across partner-driven channels Own key financial outcomes, including acquisition economics, portfolio performance, and marketing ROI Influence and align execution across Product, Marketing, Distribution, Risk, and enterprise partners Ensure strong risk management, regulatory compliance, and third-party governance Lead and develop a high-performing team, including talent strategy, succession, and engagement
