THE JOB The Part-Time Barista will provide exceptional hospitality, quality beverages and products while maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and go the extra mile to make their customer's day with a perfect cup of coffee or beverage. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO - Prepare and serve consistently outstanding beverages by adhering to recipe standards. - Proactively engage with customers to deliver exceptional customer experience - Maintain a clean and organized space for guests and coworkers in all areas of the coffee bar - Assist with setup, cleanup, inventory and stock work - Contribute creative ideas for new menu items, drink art, unique beverage presentations, and seasonal specialty offerings - Participate in local product sourcing and collaborate with the team to enhance our coffee bar's offerings - Always adhere to proper safety guidelines - On occasion work overtime for special events - Assist with a variety of duties and tasks as directed - Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling - Assist with Back of House Zero Waste initiatives as outlined by the Venue Sustainability Manager WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING - The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers - Prior barista or bartending experience preferred - Thrives in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working a flexible schedule when needed - 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality is preferred - Ability to deliver exceptional hospitality in a personal and professional manner - Strong attention to detail and healthy respect for cleanliness - Reliable and consistent - Must be available for overtime for special events or meetings - Professional behavior and appearance at all times - Ability to walk, stand and sit for periods of time.
