IT Network and Systems Administrator

About the role

Moonshot is seeking a highly capable Network and Systems Administrator to architect, optimize, and secure our enterprise infrastructure as we scale. This role blends hands-on systems engineering with network architecture and operational execution. The ideal candidate is not just an administrator, but an engineer who designs resilient infrastructure, enforces disciplined security controls, and ensures high availability across compute, network, and cloud platforms. This position directly supports Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations by maintaining a secure, performant, and scalable technology environment. You will play a key role in building infrastructure maturity while maintaining strong service reliability standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT systems administration experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Admin Consoles, Windows Server environments, Hyper-V virtualization, network administration (VPN, firewall, switching), and backup and disaster recovery systems
• Experience supporting CAD environments (SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks Electrical, and PDM) strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of SQL and scripting (PowerShell strongly preferred)
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and access control best practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
• Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience preferred
• Microsoft certifications are a plus
• Firewall or network vendor certifications are a plus
