Position Summary The Facilities Electrical Central Control Room (CCR) Systems Team provides 24/7 monitoring, control, and incident response for all electrical power distribution across a large semiconductor manufacturing facility, using the eFMCS platform to manage capacity, alarms, configuration changes, and access control. Team members work a compressed 12‑hour rotating schedule (day or night shifts) and are responsible for ensuring reliable power delivery, rapid recovery from disruptions, and clear communication of critical information to all site personnel. Role and Responsibilities Here's What You'll Be Responsible For: Develop step plans (instructions for non-standard work) for power distribution system configuration changes (switching procedures) including required pre-walks and calculations Use/develop a verification system to ensure zero quality incidents during remote device operation. Create, review, and/or revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) and specifications (Specs) to ensure high quality as well as annual revision compliance. Control and consistently audit electrical room access for employees and contractors Utilize statistical process controls to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of system alarms, set points, and trends. Focus on overall CCR and Facilities Electrical process improvement to drive safety, quality, and 6s to drive increasing safety, quality, and 6s activities and mindsets. Continuously enhance the Control Room Operators' and Engineers' (CROs/CREs) troubleshooting capabilities and distribution system knowledge. Able to work well in team environment, mentoring/training others, and effectively communicate throughout organization (engineers, technicians, management, customers). Capable of developing a full understanding of power distribution operation and root cause analysis for electrical equipment. Basic understanding on Network architecture and components, how they fail, and how to react to network/communications loss Works independently on assignments and tasks, including but not limited to the development of continuous improvement projects that will improve the operation and monitoring of on-site equipment and systems. Act as back up to the control room operator during regular operation, field work, paid time off (PTO), etc. Monitor and manage day to day electrical equipment-related operation. Monitor the work of others in area of responsibilities to mitigate impact to equipment operation and eliminate potential safety, quality or production impact. Able to lead a small team of shift electricians to complete requisite patrol rounds, perform preventive maintenance activities, manage switching activities, etc. Capable of obtaining expertise in CCR Console (eFMCS) Operations and executing work in accordance with established alarm management and rationalization principles, based on ISA 18.2, including but not limited to ensuring equipment being maintained or inoperable are properly tagged within the system to minimize nuisance alarms. In addition, the ability to perform critical analysis of alarm trends on shift and shift-over-shift in order to quickly escalate potential issues is required. Continuously improves Business Continuity and Emergency Response Plans and executes training a drills for all personnel on their shift to ensure the knowledge and skills necessary to execute them are updated and practiced. Initiates Business Continuity and Emergency Response Plans in accordance with implementing procedure immediately upon presence of entry conditions and manages the response to completion of recovery. Required to be thoroughly familiar with entry conditions and cautions for the emergency operating and business continuity procedures and the basis of each step in the procedures. Required to be familiar with the abnormal operating event procedures and system diagnostic and restoration procedures. Effectively and promptly escalate incidents by various means of communications to the team including external customers, stakeholders, and as necessary, the Austin Energy Operations Center. Gather tool impact from electrical incident with their preventative action plans for 8D report. Work Shift: D Shift - Wednesday through Saturday (6:00pm - 6:00pm) with alternating Saturdays
