Supervisory Contract Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST of NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, directing, coordinating, and executing contractual and procurement policy actions involved in supporting sophisticated and technologically advanced systems; 2) Monitoring development and acquisition activities to promote and maintain maximum coordination and integration; 3) Developing and presenting convincing oral/written presentations to all levels of government and industry; and 4) Executing contract instruments for sole source and competitive procurement actions.
