Role Summary: The Director of Finance is responsible for leading both strategic finance and accounting operations. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while driving budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support business decision-making. The Director of Finance partners closely with executive leadership to improve financial performance, scale operations, and support growth initiatives. This position is remote to candidates based in AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, MI, NC, NV, OR, SD, TN, TX, UT and/or WA. Requirements

  • Generally, any combination of education that would provide the required knowledge and skills for successful performance would qualify. A typical method of demonstrating these requirements would be:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred; MBA preferred
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, including both controllership and FP&A responsibilities. Experience in professional services, multi-entity, or high-growth environments preferred. Demonstrated experience leading financial operations and strategic finance initiatives.
  • KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Advanced accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
  • Financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
  • Financial systems and tools (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, BI/reporting platforms)
  • Revenue recognition, internal controls, and audit processes
  • Purposes, methods, and practices of financial and accounting record keeping
  • Basic accrual accounting principles and procedures
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
  • Proper and effective use of English grammar and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively listen to and empathize with customers
