Security Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Commander, Security Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09/10) grade level or pay band (DA-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Applying complex information, personnel, operations, and industrial security methods, principles, and practices to an organization; (2) Providing technical guidance to program personnel in assigned classification decisions to project work, updating and interpreting classification guides; (3) Investigating and reporting on security violations and electronic spillages for assigned program; (4) Coordinating security training on various subjects relative to proper protection of classified military information (CMI) and controlled unclassified information (CUI); and (5) Interfacing with internal and external contacts to provide technology protection for an established weapons system and/or aviation program.
