The Job: As an Order Planner, you'll be part of our team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to: Responsible for planning and coordinating the distribution and shipping of product to customers in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while meeting or exceeding the customer's expectations. Responsible for providing world class customer service throughout the organization, and will be driven to continuously improve processes to get desired results. Release customer orders. Plan shipments based upon order due dates and customer expectations. Track on-time shipment and fill rate performance on customer orders. Prepare metric reports to show performance vs. goals and report out to management. Create countermeasures to address areas preventing goal achievement. Manage backorders to ensure timely shipment. Liaison between the MTD sales team and Operations for order information and part availability. Responsible for providing feedback to customers on part shipments and order status/tracking. Consolidate shipments when available to reduce freight costs. Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets. Other duties or special projects as assigned. You also have: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college; or one or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills Ability to problem solve and determine root cause Good organizational skills Continuous Improvement Mindset Self motivated and results driven Intermediate PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization Ability to work, contribute, and succeed in a team environment. Must be able to work in an office environment.
