Job ID:1642529 [Job Summary] A design-driven lighting solutions provider is seeking a commercially minded Sales & Business Development professional to support growth within the architectural and construction ecosystem. This role focuses on both new business development and relationship management, working closely with key industry stakeholders including architects, lighting consultants, interior designers, developers, and main contractors. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving product specification at the early design stage and expanding market presence through strategic engagement and project-based sales. [Responsibilities] [Hunting or Farming = 80: 20] Develop new business opportunities while managing and growing existing client relationships (approx. 80% hunting / 20% farming) Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, lighting consultants, interior designers, developers, and main contractors Promote lighting solutions and strengthen brand positioning in the market Conduct product presentations, technical briefings, and solution proposals to clients and project stakeholders Engage with consultants and design teams to secure product specifications during early project stages Support early-stage design discussions and contribute to project planning and solution development Identify market trends, upcoming projects, and potential business opportunities Prepare presentation materials, product decks, and supporting marketing content Coordinate closely with internal technical and engineering teams to support design proposals and specifications Follow up on project pipelines and track opportunity progression through the sales cycle Collaborate with internal sales teams to ensure smooth conversion from specification to order Attend industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings as a company representative Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project updates, and pipeline status Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned [Requirements] Must: Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience (preferably in construction materials, building products, or related industries ) Japanese language proficiency is required for business communication and coordination with Japanese-speaking clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders involved in cross-border project specifications and project execution Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced, target-driven, and results-oriented environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professional and technical stakeholders Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships Willingness to acquire technical product knowledge (product training will be provided) Advantage: Experience in lighting, architectural products, or construction-related specification sales Existing network within the architecture, interior design, or developer community Familiarity with project-based sales cycles and consultant-driven specification processes We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
