About the role

The incumbent performs limited grants management analysis assignments that are developmental and recurring in nature including functions such as the following: participate in Pre-Award and Post-Award activities, and contribute to the initiation, refinement and implementation of applicable policies and procedural guidance. In order to qualify for a Grants Management Specialist, GS-1109 position at the GS-12 level, You must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1.) advising applicants and grantees on financial and business management issues; 2.) monitoring grant/cooperative agreement-related budget to prevent lapse in funding; 3.) teaching grant/cooperative agreement-related procedures and requirements to junior-level colleagues or management; 4.) evaluating grant/ cooperative agreements (e.g., reviewing reports, performing on-site visits) to ensure compliance with organizational policies (e.g., financial) and laws/regulations. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
