Specific information about the field: This area manufactures the gears used in the differential of a truck axle, including processes such as turning, gear tooth cutting, heat treatment of the gears-including carburizing, oil quenching, tempering, and induction hardening-as well as hard grinding, lapping, testing, shot peening, phosphating, and packaging. Activities: Execute reports in the Oracle system. Coordinate capacity studies. Coordinate time and motion studies for the processes defined in Engranes. The student will gain experience in: Using KIMOS software. Using Minitab software. Using AVICS software. Using Oracle software. The requirements are as follows: - Availability for 1 year as an active student (enrolled in university through June-July 2027). - Availability to work 7 morning hours Monday through Friday, preferably from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. - Student in Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, and Automotive Systems Engineering. - Must have a Federal Taxpayer ID (RFC). - English proficiency: Intermediate (speaking, writing, and listening). - Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
