About the role

As our HR Business Partner, you will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence. You will work closely with leaders, the HR Manager, and the wider HR team to deliver high-quality HR services, support organisational development, and ensure compliance with Norwegian labour legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR contact for leaders and employees within assigned business areas
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, and competency development
  • Align HR policies, practices, and initiatives with business objectives

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on workforce metrics such as FTEs, personnel costs, absence trends, and actuals vs. budget
  • Support leaders in taking corrective actions where discrepancies or risks are identified

  • Provide coaching and sparring to leaders on change management, conflict resolution, employee development, and performance management
  • Promote a healthy work environment and follow up on absence trends
  • Foster strong employee relations and a positive workplace culture
  • Build and maintain effective collaboration with union representatives
  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives to improve motivation, retention, and productivity
  • Collaborate with business areas on performance pay processes, including KPIs, union dialogue, and result follow-up
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Organize and facilitate training on HR policies, labor law, and workplace best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an HR role, ideally as an HR Business Partner or similar
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian labor laws and regulations
  • Experience in leadership support and coaching is an advantage
  • Analytical mindset with experience in HR metrics, budgeting, and reporting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with leaders, employees, and unions
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English , both written and spoken
