About the role

A-LIGN is seeking a detail-oriented HR Administrator to support day-to-day India human resources operations. This role will assist with employee records, recruitment coordination, and HR compliance while providing administrative support to the India HR team. Reports to India Human Resources Manager Pay Classification Apprenticeship position under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication
  • Prepare HR-related documents such as offer letters, contracts, and onboarding materials
  • Support payroll and benefits administration by collecting and verifying data
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Track and manage leave requests and attendance records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations
  • Organize HR files and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assist in planning employee engagement activities and training sessions
  • Provide general administrative support to the broader HR team

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in general office responsibilities
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in human resources tasks preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of motivation
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work individually as well as collaboratively
  • Demonstrate capabilities with moderate supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset who can work well within a team as well as independently
  • Must be detail oriented and organized in completing tasks

  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Power Point, and Excel

  • Strong composition, grammar, and business language skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, other departments, and both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent judgment in handling confidential, legal, or sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency
