The Acute Care Units at Banner Boswell Medical Center are currently seeking experienced PCU Nurses, but at this time will also consider applicants that have Telemetry, ICU, Medical/Surgical or similar acute care or critical care background. Are you interested in Cardiac, Neuro, GI, Ortho, Oncology? We have a unit that fits your expertise and area or interest. Our units participate in the Progress In Place initiative, meaning the patients cared for on our units have a variety of medical conditions, and we serve both Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care level acuity patients on each unit. In this video, nurses and clinical leaders share their experience working at Banner Boswell Medical Center. We have opportunities for Full-Time , Part-Time and Per Diem . Full-time is three/12-hour shifts per week and Part-time is two/12-hour shifts per week. There is rotating weekends/holidays and you will utilize our self-scheduling tool. Per Diem (Banner Staffing Services) is a minimum of just two shifts per month! (One full year of recent work experience in PCU is required.) Also, enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable. **The sign on bonus for Full-Time Night shift is $15,000.00 and for Day shift it is $10,000.00. The Part Time bonus is is 50% of the FT bonus. Per Diem does not offer a sign on bonus. Requirements will be addressed by the recruiter. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy. 2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are.
