Your contribution to Prysmian's Success: We are looking for a Jointing Continuous Improvement Technician to join the team in Milan. In this role, you will initially focus on gaining a colid understanding of high-voltage cable accessories design, development, and manufacturing processes. After this onboarding phase, you will progressively move to on-site activities, supporting installation teams and driving continuous improvements across jointing methods, tools, and procedures. You will act as a key link between engineering and field operations, contributing to the optimization of installation practices through technical insight and direct site feedback. Job responsibilities: Develop a thorough understanding of high-voltage cable accessories design, drawings, and manufacturing processes during the initial office-based phase. Create and update technical drawings using Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent). Analyze product design and ensure alignment between engineering specifications and installation requirements. Support collaboration between engineering teams and field operations. Participate in on-site installation activities to monitor execution and collect technical feedback. Contribute to the development of new solutions aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and safety in installation activities. Act as a technical interface between design teams and site personnel, facilitating communication and knowledge sharing. Support audits, testing activities, and training sessions when required. You are the right fit if you have/are: Fluency in English. Technical background in electrical or electronic fields (degree is not mandatory). Basic knowledge of electrotechnical principles. Familiarity with technical drawing tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). High flexibility and willingness to travel extensively ( approximately 70% of the time after the initial training period ). Strong adaptability to work in dynamic environments, including construction sites. Hands-on attitude with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on continuous improvement. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively across different teams.
