Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Responsible for evaluating and treating pediatric patients within the WashU Children's Eye Center. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Evaluates and treats pediatric patients, including: refractive exams; contact lens fitting and dispensing; emergency exams; evaluation and management of medical diseases of the eye. Assists in Ophthalmologist's clinics alongside Orthoptist. Discusses and interprets findings with patients and suggests appropriate remedies. Adheres to established compliance guidelines to include those governing the appropriate coding of patient services and diagnoses. Adheres to established quality, safety, and hazardous material procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Ophthalmology. Working Conditions: Job Location/Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Physical Effort: Typically sitting at a desk or table. Equipment: Office equipment.
