Ready to be part of the action? Reporting to the Director, Post-Trade ERM & Non-Financial Resilience, you will serve as a critical guardian of Canada's financial infrastructure. This role leads the strategic design and operational execution of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) , Operational Resilience , and Regulatory Assurance for the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) and Clearing and Depository Services (CDS). You will bridge the gap between high-level governance and tactical risk management activities, ensuring TMX Post-Trade remains resilient against non-financial threats. As a key advisor to the Risk Management Committee (RMC), you will translate complex risk landscapes into actionable intelligence for Senior Management and Regulators. This role reports to: Director, Post-Trade Enterprise Risk Management & Non-Financial Resilience. Workstyle: This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - We are open to candidates being located in one of our Canadian office locations: Toronto or Montreal. Key Accountabilities: 1. Strategic TPRM & Governance Framework Ownership: Design, implement, and evolve a robust TPRM governance framework tailored to the unique risk appetites of CDCC and CDS. Lifecycle Oversight: Lead a team of risk professionals in executing end-to-end TPRM-from initial due diligence and contract negotiation support to ongoing monitoring and offboarding. High-Value Advisory: Act as a strategic consultant for the business, collaborating with Legal and Financial Resilience to navigate high-risk vendor engagements and complex Risk Acceptances. Global Benchmarking: Future-proof the organization by aligning TPRM practices with evolving global standards (e.g., DORA, OSFI B-10, and CPMI-IOSCO). 2. Operational Risk & Resilience (ORM) Resilience Integration: Drive the identification and mitigation of operational risks, ensuring seamless integration between ORM, TPRM, and Business Continuity. Advanced Assessment: Lead the execution of RCSA and PRCSA cycles to evaluate control effectiveness and identify residual risk gaps. Change Management Risk Management: Support Change Management Risk Evaluation (CMRE) processes, including the identification, assessment, and oversight of risks associated with significant changes, projects, and strategic initiatives, as well as facilitation of post-implementation reviews and incorporation of lessons learned. Incident Intelligence: Support Manage the incident lifecycle, from root cause analysis (RCA) to remediation tracking, ensuring lessons learned are institutionalized to prevent recurrence. 3. Regulatory Excellence & Emerging Risk Regulatory Liaison: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for non-financial risk during regulatory examinations, ensuring high-quality, transparent, and timely submissions. Horizon Scanning: Develop methodologies to identify and assess emerging threats (e.g., AI risks, geopolitical shifts, concentration risk) and brief the CRO and SLT on potential impacts. Strategic Alignment: Support the Post Trade ERM Director and the CRO to ensure risk practices not only meet but also anticipate regulatory mandates and industry best practices. 4. Leadership & Stakeholder Influence Talent Development: Manage and mentor a shared pool of risk analysts, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and accountability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with heads of Technology, Legal, and Operations and other first-line teams to embed a proactive risk culture across the first and second lines of defense. External Engagement: Work with external parties (e.g., regulators, global associations) to integrate best practices and elevate Post-Trade's risk framework. Consultant Leadership: Lead external consultants in reviewing and improving existing risk management frameworks to support TMX Post-Trade in enhancing practices.
