Responsibilities

  • From an accounting advisory aspect lead and deliver capital markets readiness engagements, supporting US IPOs, SPAC transactions and US debt or bond offerings
  • Support M&A buy-side and sell-side transactions, including accounting due diligence, transaction accounting and post-deal reporting considerations
  • Support on carve-outs and divestitures, including separation accounting, historical financial information, and readiness for standalone reporting

  • Work closely with KPMG US and global teams to deliver coordinated cross-border outcomes
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including CFOs, Controllers and finance leadership
  • Coach and develop team members, contributing to a strong technical and performance-focused culture

Requirements

  • Strong experience in US GAAP, IFRS or technical accounting advisory, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, including buy-side, sell-side or carve-out engagements
  • Exposure to capital markets transactions such as IPOs, SPACs, M&A, divestitures or US debt offerings
  • Exposure to SEC reporting and public company environments
  • Practical knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting
  • Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into practical, commercial advice
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring
  • Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA (or equivalent) are required

We help Australian and US companies navigate complex US GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements across capital markets transactions and M&A activity.
