Responsibilities and technologies Netcompany Operations is a well-established operations organization responsible for everything from business- and mission-critical application operations to infrastructure management across two modern data centers. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will join our Network Team, which is part of the broader Infrastructure organization. We deliver secure and reliable solutions within our private cloud environments, supporting critical systems for both public and private sector customers. You will be working with the operation, maintenance, and evolution of Netcompany's data center and enterprise network infrastructure. You will work on complex, business-critical initiatives spanning the entire networking domain, with opportunities tailored to support your professional growth and career development. The role offers technical ownership and direct influence on solutions delivered to public-sector and mission-critical customers. In addition, you will work with security as well as automation and DevOps principles within networking, including stabilization and continuous development-from core routing to security and WAN/edge. Your responsibilites will typically include: Operating, troubleshooting, expanding, and designing network solutions across data center and enterprise/campus environments. Enhancing network security through segmentation, policy-based routing (PBR), access control, SIEM and IPS. Managing and optimizing Fortinet firewalls, Cisco ASR routers, ACI-switching fabric and related data center technologies. Automation/DevOps and Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Python, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, templates, pipelines, and code reviews. Collaborating closely with specialists across server, storage, and security domains while helping shape the technical direction of the network platform.. About you You are proactive, accountable, and delivery-focused. You take accountability for your work, approach solutions with a structured and analytical mindset, help establish standards and best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of both the team and the platform. In addition, you are comfortable taking the lead and approach challenges in a structured and methodical manner. To succeed in this role, you: Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, network engineering, information technology, or a related field, or possess an equivalent level of qualification. Have several years of experience in a similar networking role. Have a solid understanding of scripting, automation, and Infrastructure as Code principles. Have hands-on experience with firewalls and network security technologies, preferably Fortinet and/or Cisco combined with strong practical experience with enterprise routing/switching, and LAN/WAN environments. Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must. Employment is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain security clearance from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET).
