About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Atlantic Ops Directorate of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement. All applications received on the day the application limit is reached will be accepted and processed. Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Expert-level knowledge of, and skill in applying, state-of-the-art methods and techniques to protect against threats in the realms of Force Protection, Antiterrorism and Physical Security; this includes skill in guiding desk officers and subordinate supervisors concerning security issues. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
