Jewellery Manufacturing Supervisor We are looking for knowledgeable, creative jewelers who take what they do very seriously, conduct themselves professionally, and who are passionate about the art of making and restoring jewelry of all sorts. Jewelers can expect to work with hand files, buffing wire, polishing wheels, and various other settings and crafting hand tools. Your responsibilities will include ensuring proper assembly, smoothing and polishing finished products, designing pieces and building molds, and evaluating the quality and value of pieces and raw materials. Successful jewelers should have exceptional knowledge of gems, metals, basic restoration, and assembly techniques, and finishes. They should be up-to-date with global jewelry fashion and trends. Ideally, the most suitable candidate will also regard integrity and empathy as being extremely important. Jeweler Responsibilities: ● Helping customers to make the right choice for them. ● Handles customer jewellery customization, ● Provides technical advice to retail customers, ● Researching and evaluating pieces and materials. ● Designing new pieces and building molds. ● Restoring old or broken pieces. ● Making new pieces. ● Create and/or repair all levels of complexity precious-metal jewellery pieces with and without stones. ● Expect to work with hand files, buffing wire, polishing wheels, and various other settings and crafting hand tools. ● Ensuring proper assembly, smoothing and polishing finished products. ● Cleaning and polishing jewellery ●Typical assignments include working in gold, silver and platinum; ring sizing; jewellery alterations; and laser welding Quality Control ● Inspect jewellery products at various production stages. ● Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications. ● Approve final products before delivery to customers. Technical & Retail Support ● Review technical drawings, CAD designs, and customer customization requirements to ensure production feasibility and quality standards. ● Provide technical consultation to customers on jewellery repairs, modifications, bespoke designs, and customization options. ● Coordinate between customers, sales personnel, and craftsmen to ensure accurate execution of custom orders and repair works. ● Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of precious metals, gemstones, and specialized jewellery-making tools. ● Conduct quality inspections on repaired and customized jewellery before delivery to customers. ● Support retail operations by providing product knowledge, after-sales service, and technical expertise to customers. Inventory & Cost Control ● Monitor inventory levels of jewellery products, gold, gemstones, and repair materials to ensure adequate stock availability. ● Maintain accurate records of gold, gemstones, repair materials, and finished jewellery items. ● Minimize inventory discrepancies, material wastage, and operational losses through effective stock control measures. ● Coordinate with suppliers, procurement personnel, and management regarding stock replenishment and material requirements. ● Monitor material consumption for jewellery repair, customization, and after-sales service activities. ● Prepare inventory and material usage reports for management review and cost control purposes. Compliance & Safety ● Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. ● Maintain a safe and organized environment. ● Ensure proper security and accountability of precious materials and finished products.
