Information Security Officer (Junior) Purpose: The Information Security Officer is part of the Information Security department within JBT Marel . The Information Security department is responsible for both Risk Management and Security Operations. The Information Security Officer supports the implementation and continuous improvement of JBT Marel's security framework across the business. The role acts as a security liaison between business, technology and security teams and provides practical, risk-aligned guidance within assigned areas of responsibility. It is your mission to help identify, assess and document security risks across information, processes, projects and technologies, and to support the mitigation of those risks. You know how to collaborate with stakeholders, communicate clearly, and balance security requirements with business value and usability. The Information Security Officer closely cooperates with Cyber Security Specialists and other Information Security colleagues in audits, change management, incident coordination, awareness activities, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives. Reports to: Chief Information Security Officer Key areas of accountability Risk management and advisory: Identify, assess and document security risks across information processes, projects and technologies within assigned areas of responsibility. Provide constructive security advisory for inquiries related to areas of responsibility, applying established guidelines and escalating complex topics where needed. Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide clear guidance and support the development of pragmatic, risk-aligned solutions. Support mitigation planning by providing input on security risks, controls and improvement actions. Policy management: Write and update security policies, standards and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility. Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of JBT Marel's security policies, standards and procedures. Identify gaps in policies, standards and guidelines and propose improvements to reduce security risks. Security awareness: Promote security awareness by delivering training and championing Information Security objectives. Assess current security awareness maturity in assigned areas and use insights to drive targeted improvements and clear communication. Support the adoption of the right security behavior based on JBT Marel's policies, standards and guidelines. Reporting, audits and operations: Report on security posture and incidents within assigned areas of responsibility. Participate in technical and non-technical audits, change management processes and incident coordination activities. Apply established guidelines to analyze and resolve routine security issues. Identify opportunities for control enhancement and process improvement in assigned areas of responsibility. Support continuous improvement of the organization's security posture and monitor advancements in Information Security best practices. Team contribution: Operate with moderate supervision and seek guidance where needed. Support onboarding or training of new team members when requested. Provide input to employee performance evaluations as needed. Competencies and Skills Relating and networking Presenting and communicating information Writing and reporting Analytical thinking Cooperative Pro-active Conceptual/forward thinking Thoroughness Stress management Pragmatic and risk-based mindset Proficient English writing and speaking Level of Knowledge and Experience Bachelor level in information management and auditing, IT/information security, computer sciences, or a suitable combination of formal education and experience. 1 - 3 years of experience in information security, risk management, IT audit, technology governance or a related field. Basic understanding of risk management, security policy management, security awareness, incident coordination and control improvement. Knowledge of international security standards or frameworks, such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, OWASP, CIS Controls, NIST or ISF Standard of Good Practice, is desired. Preferred: experience in working in an international/ global organization. Preferred: knowledge of the manufacturing industry and business model/processes. Why Join JBT Marel?
