About the role
The Life Cost & Financial Reporting (LC&FR) programme is a multi-year transformation initiative designed to modernise and simplify the Life Finance operating model. The programme will deliver improvements to financial reporting processes, systems and controls, reducing reliance on manual processes and external contractors while strengthening the control environment. The programme supports the broader Life business strategy and Finance transformation agenda by enhancing the quality, timeliness and efficiency of reporting across IFRS and regulatory requirements. It will also improve integration between Finance, Actuarial and Systems functions, enabling scalable and sustainable support for business growth. Lead the design and delivery of finance system solutions supporting LC&FR, ensuring alignment between accounting requirements and system architecture.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end finance systems design for LC&FR (e.g., ledger, sub-ledger, consolidation, reporting layers)
- Responsible for maintenance of certain finance system business rules
- Translate accounting and reporting requirements into system solutions
- Lead system configuration design, data flows and integration requirements
- Oversee system implementation, testing strategy and defect resolution
- Drive improvements in automation, data quality and control environment
- Act as key liaison between Finance, Technology and external vendors
- Experience & skills
- Strong experience in finance systems (e.g. Oracle, Tagetik or similar)
- Deep understanding of finance data flows and reporting architectures
- Experience delivering system implementations or transformations
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience
- Ability to bridge accounting and technology effectively
