THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD0324000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard. ***NOTE: Indefinite employment is temporary and is expected to last more than one year but no more than 3 consecutive years. This appointment will not exceed 30-SEP-2028 and will not be extended with further competition*** MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical maintenance work. Experience using equipment and hand tools to troubleshoot, test and repair equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories. Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
