About the Role: As a Metal Fab Technician on our team, you'll set up and operate welding machines to seam weld the structural components that form the backbone of our transformers. You'll read blueprints and specifications, inspect your welds for defects, and measure finished products to make sure every unit meets spec. It's hands-on, precision-driven work - and you'll be part of a team that keeps energy flowing across communities. 🔧 What You'll Do: Read blueprints and specifications to determine weld requirements Set up and operate seam welding machines and related equipment Perform seam welds on transformer components to spec Inspect completed welds for defects, ensuring quality and dimensional accuracy Measure finished products using tape measures, calipers, and other tools to confirm tolerances Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment, performing basic upkeep as needed Handle and position metal components and materials safely and efficiently Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures Pitch in with other metal fabrication duties as needed - we value cross-trained teams ✅ What You'll Need: High school diploma or GED preferred Previous welding or manufacturing experience preferred Vocational training or welding certification is a plus Basic troubleshooting skills for welding equipment Ability to read blueprints and weld specifications Ability to read a tape measure and follow specs Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a team mindset Willingness to undergo background check, drug test, and physical 🕐 Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Overtime may be required based on production needs 🔩 Physical & Work Environment Expectations: To succeed in this role, you'll need to be comfortable with: Lifting & Mobility: Lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted; standing, bending, and moving throughout your shift Work Environment: Our facility is active, loud, and warm-especially during peak production PPE: We provide and require safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes Dexterity & Vision: Manual dexterity and strong visual acuity are needed for detail-oriented work Endurance & Teamwork: You'll need stamina, clear communication, and a safety-first mindset 💰 Benefits & Perks 100% employer-paid medical & dental insurance (employee only) 401(k) with company match Life insurance & additional retirement benefits Opportunities for growth and advancement A clean, team-oriented facility focused on innovation and safety ⚠️ Important Note This is a safety-sensitive position.
