- Must obtain a minimum of one registry with the following years of service:≥10 years of cardiology/healthcare service or ≥5+ cardiology/healthcare service + Associates Degree
- Must have competency & participate in either of the following: Echo (Supervisory skills pass off to include a minimum 100), Adult Congenital, Fetal, Pediatric, Vascular (Supervisory skills pass off to include a minimum 25), or Arterial Scans
- Echo/Vascular Technician III
- Must achieve each of the following areas:
- Certification/Registry
- Must obtain any three of the national registry credential(s) through ARDMS, CCI, or ASN as applicable to the department or years of service.
- Must obtain a minimum of one registry with the following years of service: ≥15+ years of cardiology/healthcare service or ≥10+ years of cardiology/healthcare service + bachelor's or master's Degree

Job Description: Join Our Team as an Echo Vascular Sonographer! We are seeking an experienced and skilled PRN Echo Vascular Sonographer to join our healthcare team at St. George Regional Hospital. This position performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under the direction of a physician for identification of cardiac or venous abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis. This role will help cover shifts on a PRN, as-needed basis. Caregivers work (4) 10 hours shifts that are part of a rotation. Rotating weekends and holiday shifts for all staff members is required. Incumbent may be hired on as level I, II, or III, depending on qualifications and experience. Non-Registered Techs who have completed a program and are able to sit for their registry exam in the near future may also be considered. Essential Functions Competency; Must demonstrate technical competence for performance protocols specific to the department. Prioritize and schedule exams. Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients. Prepare for the exam by following patient identification processes, educating patient and family on procedure, and transporting the patient. Perform ultrasound exams consistent with related protocols and in a timely manner. Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes. Throughout the exam, identify patient needs and appropriately communicate and coordinate patient care with physicians, other caregivers, patient, and family. After the exam, return patient to room and ensure patient stability and safety. Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural technique. Appropriately document exam results and other needed information. Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies. Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies. Follow appropriate channels to coordinate repair or supply needs. Support team and quality improvement processes and initiatives. Participate in educational opportunities to ensure clinical competence and develop additional skills and knowledge. Provide education for other caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
