Senior Civil Estimator

Our client is an established U.S.-based civil site contractor with more than 35 years of experience delivering high-quality site development projects across the commercial, municipal, and public sectors. Their expertise includes excavation, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, paving, and complete site development services. Known for their commitment to quality, long-term client relationships, and collaborative approach, they have built a strong reputation for delivering reliable results and maintaining a high volume of repeat business. We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator with a strong background in civil site construction estimating for U.S.-based projects. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, preparing bid packages, and supporting the full preconstruction process across multiple active bids. The ideal candidate has extensive experience estimating utilities, stormwater systems, water lines, and earthwork, and can independently manage estimates while collaborating closely with the estimating team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and complete bid packages for civil site construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for:
• Underground utilities
• Stormwater management systems
• Water lines
• Bulk earthwork (cut/fill)
• Support the full bid lifecycle, including:
• Bid preparation
• Bid revisions
• Vendor and subcontractor outreach
• Bid submissions
• Preconstruction coordination
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and ensure estimate accuracy across multiple concurrent bids.
• Collaborate with estimating leadership to improve bid throughput and turnaround times.
• Work within established estimating workflows while identifying opportunities for greater efficiency.
• Support additional preconstruction and operational tasks as needed.
• Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of estimating experience in civil site construction.
• Hands-on experience using Bid2Win (B2W) / Trimble estimating software.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience estimating U.S.-based construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Underground utilities
• Stormwater systems
• Water line installation
• Earthwork and grading
• Site development
• Experience working on both public and private sector projects.
• Strong quantity takeoff and bid preparation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote, full-time role.
• Ability to demonstrate experience creating estimates and managing bid packages within the platform.
• Experience working in fast-paced estimating environments with multiple simultaneous bids.
