Seafreight Officer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export sea freight shipments.
• Arrange bookings with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Prepare and process shipping documents such as:Bill of Lading (B/L)Packing ListCommercial InvoiceCertificate of Origin
• Monitor shipment schedules and track cargo movement.
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, agents, hauliers, warehouses, and customs authorities.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and shipping requirements.
• Handle cargo clearance and delivery arrangements.
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and operational issues.
• Provide freight quotations and negotiate rates with carriers and vendors.
• Update shipment status reports and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as sales, operations, and finance.
• Ensure timely invoicing and cost control for shipments.
• Other task required by management
• Skills Required
• Knowledge of international shipping and Incoterms.
• Understanding of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Seafreight experience
