Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting processes (close, reconciliations)
• Analytical ability, detailed orientation, and commitment to accuracy.
• Position is based at Butler Works general office, however may require time in a plant environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Microsoft Excel competence.
• Experience with ERP systems

Location: Butler, PA Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst/Accountant at our Butler location. The position is responsible for the overall preparation and analysis of financial records, and for communicating with management and manufacturing personnel for decision-making purposes. Summary of Responsibilities: Support the monthly close process, including inventory and cost-related activities Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances Analyze financial results, identify variances, and assist in root-cause analysis Assist in the preparation of plant forecasts and budgets Support internal controls and compliance requirements, including SOX Assist with internal and external audit requests Perform sales/use and other tax-related accounting activities Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
