About the role

Make an impact while you learn! The Semester of Service Program gives students a volunteer, project-based opportunity to support real Federal missions, gaining hands-on experience and career-ready skills. To participate, students must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited institution and participation must be with the permission of the institution at which the student is enrolled. With this project, you will understand Program data through cleaning and quality assurance processes. Applicants will be considered based on their knowledge, skills or abilities related to project needs. Specifically, applicants should: Data Cleaning and Quality Checking: A continued systematic review and cleaning of all Directive-Type Memorandum (DTM) program datasets to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data, within the limitations of the data. Data Analysis: Analyses of the seven distinct DTM program datasets to identify and summarize the most significant findings and create comprehensive overview reports that highlight trends, insights, and key metrics derived from the data. Data Upload and Automation: In preparation for the second data push scheduled for October, help support the initiative to upload and automate the DTM program data to the Integrated Primary Prevention Tool (IPPT), streamline accessibility for the 54 States, Territories, and DC.
