Nicholson Hall Pay Grade: Other Academic Job Description: A position as Postdoctoral or Senior Postdoctoral Researcher is available in the Ultrafast AMO Theory group at Louisiana State University. The candidate selected will participate in theoretical studies of attosecond electron dynamics in complex environments, such as molecules embedded in solvents, electrons interacting with phonons in solids, or chromophores coupled to protein scaffolds. The postdoctoral researcher will be primarily responsible for the development and application of large-scale calculations to investigate attosecond electron dynamics in complex environments, and the expected experimental signatures thereof. The Ultrafast AMO theory group at LSU includes Profs. Ken Schafer, Mette Gaarde and Francois Mauger in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Prof. Ken Lopata in the Chemistry Department at LSU. The ongoing grant features close collaboration with experimental attosecond physics groups at Ohio State University and SLAC/Stanford University.
