As a Project Engineer (gn) - Food Industry , you will be responsible for independently planning, managing and delivering investment and optimization projects across our production and packaging operations. Your mission You independently lead investment and optimization projects across our production and packaging operations - from the initial concept through to successful handover to operations You plan and implement new production and packaging lines, develop project concepts and business cases, and deliver capacity expansion projects as well as plant modifications You analyze existing production processes, identify optimization opportunities and implement initiatives to improve productivity, automation, OEE and overall equipment availability You prepare technical specifications and requirement documents, conduct feasibility and economic assessments, and support the selection and layout of new equipment and production lines You coordinate external engineering partners and collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Controlling to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards You support equipment commissioning and production ramp-ups, train operations and maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with quality, food safety, health & safety and environmental standards Your Experience & Skills You hold a degree in Process Engineering, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical qualification You have several years of experience in technical project management, ideally within the food, beverage or FMCG industry You have experience with production and packaging equipment, CAPEX and investment projects, as well as knowledge of plant engineering, automation and process optimization You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera; experience with SAP and CAD/layout software is considered an advantage You stand out through your initiative, hands-on mentality, structured and analytical way of working, entrepreneurial mindset, cost awareness and strong problem-solving skills You communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and are able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously Why choose us?
