- Undertake continuous, job-related training to maintain editorial quality levels and improve individual skills.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts or in other relevant discipline
- 0 to 3 years of editorial experience, preferably working for newspapers, magazines, or journals, in a busy environment that is deadline driven.
- Editorial experience with a newspaper/publication would be an added advantage.
- Good command over the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Knowledge of AP Style Guide would be an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative attitude and no-limits learning mindset.
- Capable of delivering error-free and consumable content.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others.
- Ability to understand and quickly adapt to new processes, best practices and changes to style.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as their Google equivalents.
- Ability to handle pressure and stress without compromising quality.
- Detail-oriented approach to work with good organization skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take the initiative while mitigating risks.
