Escorting Assistant (Casual)

Responsibilities

• Works closely with driver to assist clients with boarding and unboarding vehicle. Performs safety check, ensuring seatbelts, and assistance devices, if any, are secured
• Maintains order and safety within the vehicle
• Manages difficult behaviours, responds to emergency and reports promptly to the Centre any unusal/special conditions (e.g. client's mood, client's health conditions).
• Ensures safe arrangements for clients and follow up actions in accordance with Centre's policies and instructions
• Provides assistance to passengers and communicate their needs to the driver
• Supports and assists the driver, as required.
• Collects user fees
• Keeps up-to-date with developments and best practices in the field
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school education
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of proper techniques to assist clients with walking difficulties and by physically able to perform this function
• Ability to work as a team
• Recent satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen result.
• Ability to communicate in English and Chinese
• Required to travel in a moving vehicle for a prolonged period of time.
