Art Conservator

Responsibilities

• Conduct condition assessments and prepare conservation reports.
• Perform conservation and restoration treatments for paintings.
• Carry out preventive conservation and environmental monitoring.
• Support exhibition installation, de-installation, framing, and mounting.
• Document all conservation work with reports and photographs.
• Assist with artwork handling and loan-related conservation activities.
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and maintain accurate timesheets.

Requirements

• Degree in Painting Conservation, Art Conservation, or a related field.
• Experience in painting conservation within museums, galleries, or cultural institutions.
• Knowledge of international conservation standards and ethical practices.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
