Senior Software Engineer (Frontend - React)

About the role

Gartner is looking for passionate, creative full-stack developer to join the Gartner Innovation Tools team. The Innovation Tools team is responsible for developing innovative growth tools that help end-users solve their mission critical priorities.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of a new energetic team of engineers delivering fresh Products.
• Fluently code as a full stack developer.
• Work with Open-source technologies and applications.
• Work in a fast-paced environment along with passionate, technology rock stars.
• Follow coding standards, build appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts.
• Continuously problem-solve to create secure and simple solutions.
• Create a robust backend for massive scalability and high performance.
• Bring to life elegant and modern UX designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related engineering field w/experience in software development.
• 4-7 years of experience developing customer facing products or web applications.
• Expertise in ReactJS is a must.
• Expert skills in CSS, HTML, JavaScript and Design libraries.
• Performance optimization and security related aspects.
• Strong experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing.
• Built solutions for high performance and low latency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good to have:
• Experience with Next.js server-side rendering or Base UI/Radix is desirable.
• Exposure to Node.js
• Basic exposure to Java or Python.
• Exposure to Jenkins, packaging is a plus.
• Working experience in AWS or any other cloud technologies will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to DevOps is a plus.
• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
• Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
