Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the Data Engineering team across Poland and Denmark (8 colleagues)
- Owning the engineering backbone of the data platform (ingestion, transformation, orchestration, observability)

- Our requirements:
- Proven experience leading senior data engineering teams in a complex enterprise environment
- Strong hands-on background in modern data platforms (e.g. cloud data warehouses, transformation frameworks, CI/CD) and programming experience (e.g. Python, SQL)
- Experience scaling from bespoke solutions to platform-based, reusable patterns
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and cost management at scale
- Track record of working effectively across functions and cultures
- Fluent English skills, additional language skills in Polish or Danish is beneficial

The Head of Data Engineering is accountable for building and operating a scalable and reliable data engineering capability that underpins VELUX's global data platform (Snowflake / dbt) and AI initiatives.
