About the role

We are a Southern African PGM producer, marketing metals globally, with a presence across 8 regions and 17 sites. Our operations include 4 operating mines, 3 smelters, and 2 refineries, giving us full control across the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) value chain-from resource to market. We explore, we mine, we concentrate, we smelt, we refine, and we market. As a result, we have an in-depth knowledge of PGM production and markets. Using this knowledge, we invest in developing sustainable markets for PGMs, partnering directly with research institutions as well as customers in the industrial, jewellery and investment sectors. With 3 global marketing hubs and a team of over 29,000 employees, we serve a diverse international customer base while remaining deeply rooted in Southern Africa.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 Human Resources experience
• HR generalist experience essential
• Experience in mining or related environment advantageous
• Computer literate for role including SAP HR
• Knowledge and experience with Navigator+ and the Electronic Manning Board (EMB) will be an added advantage
• Technical skills
• Proficient in labour management planning processes.
• Proficient in Talent Management processes and implementation.
• Proficient with interpreting and understanding of SA transformation legislation requirement.
• Good understanding of diversity and inclusion

The generalist role is responsible for the maintenance of all P&O practices, systems, and data quality within the operation. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Safety Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities. Performance and Delivery Provide advice and support to employees and line managers on a broad range of people & organisation related matters including the interpretation of policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment. Supports line managers and employees by providing credible Employee Relations advice and support including participating in disciplinary and grievances processes. Ensures effective implementation of Talent Management, performance management and Employee Benefits processes in support of the organisation's EVP initiatives. Provides talent-sourcing support to ensure recruitment of suitable and top talent for the operation. Supports the implementation of the approved operational blueprints and guard against unplanned labour resources. Engages and supports line managers in reducing labour unavailability by continuously tracking and monitoring including identifying root cause analysis and providing reports. Supports the planning and implementation of Team + Process. Implement operational effective Onboarding and off boarding. Maintain accurate employee data ensuring accurate reporting. Compliance Ensure compliance to Valterra Platinum internal and external regulatory, legislative and permitting requirements Bachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resources management or Industrial Psychology. Post Graduate Degree Human Resources management or Industrial Psychology is desirable. Certifications Valid EB/Code 08 driver's license
