Associate Commercial Mortgage Loan Analyst

Responsibilities

• Research, review, and analyze market and submarket data and prepares periodic reports on both positive and negative trends.
• Enter and verify all property related information, operating statement and rent roll data, borrower financial information, market and, submarket data, comparable rent, sales and capitalization rate information and any other relevant loan information for all new originations.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

Requirements

• Education and Experience
• Required:
• Bachelor's degree - Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, IT or related area of study
• 2+ years of experience working in Commercial Real Estate, Insurance, Banking or Financial Services company
• Skills and Abilities
• General understand of basic financial concepts
• Customer service oriented; responsive to requests from internal and external customers
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, excel
• Strong analytical and issues resolution skills
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines
• Self-starter with leadership potential and ability to work on own
• Preferred:
• Knowledge of insurance company mortgage lending practices
• Knowledge of mortgage loan valuation or software

A Brief Overview As a member of the Asset Management Team within the Real Estate Investments Division, job responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of a designated portfolio of loans, entering and verifying all property related information, operating statement and rent roll data, borrower financial information, market and submarket data, comparable rent, sales and capitalization rate information and any other relevant loan information. Team members assist the Regional Managers and Legal by collecting and reviewing all required asset management loan documents, leases, surveys, title policies, organization documents, etc. Team members review and complete all post-closing servicing requests, and other loan or property related items requiring information or follow-up with the borrower. Role includes completing all loan ratings, internal valuations, loan surveillance, and other special projects as required.
