Supervisory Historian

About the role

You will serve as a Supervisory Historian HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Historian. Specialized experience must include the following: 1.) Contributing historical background knowledge to Department of Defense policy and program planning that will impact foreign policy deliberations; 2.) Anticipating and meeting management requirements for historical information for both current and long-range program and foreign policy deliberations; 3.) Tailoring the scope and emphasis of historical research studies for the most effective use in making important policy decisions; 4.) Utilizing expert project management skills to lead special projects on complex, high-visibility historical issues.
