Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of electrical systems, hardware, and components for new and existing SMT products, in line with project requirements, quality expectations, and development processes.
- Assist in schematic capture, PCB layout review, electrical circuit design, ePLAN circuit diagrams, cable drawings, and preparation of PCBA manufacturing data.
- Support component selection, new component library creation, End-of-Life confirmation, PNA requisition, and related electrical hardware lifecycle activities.

- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues by collecting data, performing basic analysis, supporting root-cause investigation, and implementing agreed corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with local and global R&D teams and stakeholders such as Product Management, Mechanical Engineering, NPI, Production, Sourcing, SQ, QM, and Service.
- Prepare and maintain clear engineering documentation, including product and module design specifications, schematics, PCB data, test plans, test reports, user manuals, circuit diagrams, and cable drawings.
- Ensure assigned electrical designs and activities comply with applicable safety, ESD, EMC, noise emission, RoHS, CE, ISO, and ASMPT development guidelines.
- Contribute ideas for product innovation, emerging technology evaluation, design improvement, and intellectual property or patent-related activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of the SMT and PCBA industries, electronics manufacturing processes, or automation equipment will be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of circuit design, analog and digital electronics, power electronics, electrical wiring, and electronic component selection.
- Familiarity with design and simulation tools such as PADS, ePLAN, HyperLynx, Active-HDL, SPICE, or equivalent EDA tools.
- Basic understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, product safety, EMC, ESD, RoHS, CE, and quality compliance expectations is preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot simple designs and support root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on mindset with willingness to support prototype build, laboratory testing, test setup preparation, and engineering validation activities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
- Basic project management and time management skills, with the ability to execute assigned tasks according to plan and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
- Strong willingness to learn, develop technical expertise, follow development guidelines, and contribute positively in a global and multicultural working environment.
