Sanimax is looking to hire a Environmental Operator for the night shift. The schedule is a 2/2/3 working from 6 pm to 6 am. Why Join Sanimax? Onsite training provided Green company with strong values and 85+ years of established growth and stability Position Purpose The Environmental Operator is responsible for the operation of the site's wastewater treatment and air handling systems. This role is integral in supporting the plant to run efficiently while managing environmental risks and costs. The wastewater portion of the role ensures compliance with regulations, conservation of water, and optimizes chemical use. The air treatment portion ensures scrubbers are operating within designed parameters, maintains the chemical feed system, and performs periodic inspections Essential Functions And Basic Duties Monitor and perform daily tests including pH levels of scrubbers, MLSS (solids) levels, chemical feed rates, etc. Perform visual inspections of DAFs, aeration tank, and scrubber flows Monitor chemical feed systems for leaks, air locking, or other issues Assist maintenance in troubleshooting repairs Maintain cleanliness of all responsible areas: chemical feed room, wastewater facility, effluent area in plant, scrubber areas, etc. Conduct sampling and testing as required by regulatory permits Monitor wastewater system and adjust the parameters as required
