Te tūranga - The role As the Advisor you will lead the policy analysis and research to ensure our banknotes and coins continue to meet Aotearoa's needs. You will provide expert advice to inform policy, regulatory frameworks, and strategic priorities (including access to cash and financial inclusion), and support and influence senior decision-making. As an experienced team member, you will contribute across the Money and Cash Directorate, builds organisational capability by mentoring junior colleagues, and driving thought leadership within the cash Production and Circulation team. Ō pūkenga - About you To succeed in this role, you will bring: A post-graduate degree in economics, statistics, data science, finance, or related disciplines A minimum of five years relevant experience in in the fields of banking, law, accounting, macroeconomics, economics, or at other central banks . Relevant experience in cash industry, cash operations, and logistics will be an added advantage. Experience in leading and delivering statistical, analytical, policy and / or financial initiatives and workstreams. An interest in and solid understanding of the global and domestic issues facing the New Zealand economy. Ability to identify policy relevant issues and provide leadership in a dynamic and open team environment.
