Business Operations Associate

About the role

Rently is a fast-growing proptech startup currently operating across Singapore, the UAE, and Hong Kong making renting simple, flexible, and rewarding. We're a rent management platform helping tenants earn rewards on rent, lower their move-in costs, and delay rent payments - all in one secure platform. We're looking for a Business Operations Associate to support the day-to-day operations of the business while working closely with the COO and Operations leadership. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of the business, support key operational priorities, and play an important role in Rently's continued regional expansion.

Responsibilities

• 🚀 Keep Operations Moving - Work directly with the COO and Operations leadership to support day-to-day operational priorities.
• 🔍 Solve Problems - Break down operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies into clear problem statements, conduct root cause analyses, develop and implement improvement plans.
• 📊 Drive Decisions - Conduct data analyses and process reviews to support informed operational decision-making across the business.
• 📝 Report Insights - Prepare concise operations reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for the COO and leadership team.
• 🤝 Lead Projects - Own and drive cross-functional operational initiatives across Collections, Data & BI, Customer Experience, Partnerships, and other business functions.
• ⚡ Drive Execution - Coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely progress on key operational projects. Help unblock execution when operational workflows, vendor dependencies, or internal handoffs stall.
• 📈 Track Performance - Support clarity around operational KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics by proactively flagging risks and performance gaps.
• 🏡 Improve Service - Identify gaps between customer expectations, operational delivery, and service quality outcomes.
• 🌱 Support Growth - Assist in the rollout and iteration of new operational processes, tools, and market expansion initiatives.
• 🧠 Strategic Partner - Act as a thought partner to the COO by pressure-testing operational assumptions, workflows, and resource allocation decisions.
• 🛠️ Take Ownership - Step in to directly execute critical operational tasks or manage urgent escalations when required.
• 📚 Build Foundations - Maintain SOPs, project trackers, and operational playbooks to build institutional knowledge and support scalability.

Location: Singapore (Hybrid: 3 days office + 2 days WFH) Commitment: Full-Time - Permanent Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
