Hours: Part-Time - 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 College Aides are permitted to work up to 17 hours per week during the school year, and full time (35 hours) during the summer. Please note you must be a student enrolled in an accredited college or graduate school to be eligible for the position. The College Aide will work with the Staff Development to execute staff development programs/plans for the agency. The selected candidate will assist with coordinating live and virtual training programs, planning, and scheduling of employees for various agency-wide trainings. Target staff for renewal of agency mandatory trainings, construction safety trainings and any other trainings or certifications that require renewals. Assist with entering of employee training records into the archive system and respond to employee enquiries sent to the Staff Development email. Please note: All candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.). In compliance with Public Law 99-603, candidates are required to present original documents proving citizenship or the legal right to work in the U.S. DDC is unable to support or sponsor any visa application or visa extension, including but not limited to OPT/STEM visas, H-1B visas, F-1 practical training, permanent residence sponsorship, or any proposed change of visa type. Additionally, educational credentials must be from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accredited institution. Credentials from foreign institutions require independent equivalency verification from an approved evaluation service.
