This role involves taking ownership of Zip's Kubernetes platform, observability and deployment tooling. You will partner with the Foundations teams in SF & Toronto to drive Zip's multi-region expansion. We expect this role to expand and include people management responsibilities within 9 months. You Will Define and drive the mission, vision, and strategy for Zip's observability, reliability, and global expansion initiatives. Mentor and guide a high-performing team of 4-5 engineers in the Toronto office, fostering their technical development. Act as a hands-on contributor to the team's core technical projects. Establish and continuously refine processes to ensure excellence in execution and clear communication with stakeholders. Collaborate with other engineering leaders in the Toronto office to support and scale the overall Toronto engineering team.
